Mandela Day 18th July 2015

July the 18th is the United Nations International Mandela Day, a day set aside in honour of Nelson Mandela’s legacy of selfless service to humanity. In commemoration of the 2015 edition of the International Mandela Day, 67 minutes was spent planting trees alongside members of the Rotary Club Asaba, at the Nelson Mandela Gardens of 95 trees.

This was carried out to promote the culture of going green which is very important for the sustenance of society at large; in addition to showing appreciation for the 67 years Mandela gave to the selfless service of humanity. The kids were not left out as everyone had fun learning the values of tree planting.
